My craft began more than 25 years ago out of an intrinsic need to release a rebellious and unruly emotional charge. My approach questions society through powerful images and the turmoil of human beings torn between moments of struggle and peace.
In my work, I give prominence to the accidental nature of the gesture and to my critical judgment, which constantly shifts the balance of elements and colors.
Each canvas is eclectic and directly connected to my impulses. In short, I become one with it, giving the inert a form of embodied life.
I physically sculpt and model color and pictorial material.
Through the formal expression of my painting, sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract, I wish to convey to the viewer the ambiguity and tension of what I call “my inner chaos.”
