Ethel Voronkova’s studio practice is driven by an exploration of the subconscious, through stylized abstraction. Working primarily with acrylics on raw canvas, she creates dreamscapes that evoke the ephemeral nature of thought and memory. Through fluid landscapes and layered forms, her work captures fleeting moments where reality bends into the intangible—spaces that feel both familiar and otherworldly. She explores how colour and form can hold the essence of something elusive, offering a glimpse into the transient terrain of dreams.
Originally from the Philippines and now based in Brantford, Ontario, Voronkova studied Fine Art at Centennial College. She has exhibited widely across Ontario with works held in private collections throughout North America and Europe.
